Okay for a short stay in central location
The receptionist was extremely helpful and greeted us with great hospitality. The location is very central. Everything was clean even if it might need a bit of update here and there.
The walls are made of paper. Our bed was lying next to the next room's bathroom and we could hear every bit of noise. The room we stayed in needs a bit of TLC. The lighting could be improved and the air in the room wasn't the best as it got all moist from the bathroom.

What was the highlight of Savoy Hotel
Wouldn't stay again but it was in a good location
We got a free room upgrade on arrival which was appreciated and the hotel has a free wine hour every day at 5 which was a nice touch. The decor is modern and the hotel foyer was nice to relax in. It is a great location for walking everywhere - we didn't use public transport at all.
I didnt appreciate being told to download and register my phone number with an app in order to check inl but you can request a normal key car on arrival instead. I hate to imagine how small the room we had booked would have been if we hadn't been upgraded. The bed was broken on one side but otherwise very comfy. The room smelt bad which we think was coming from the sink, plug was broken so couldn't push it down to stop the smell coming in! The curtains didn't cover the entire window when closed and you had to stand on a chair to pull them because the hooks get stuck on the track. One of the pillows on the bed was a throw cushion without a removable cover (so never washed) which is disgusting for a hotel. Small annoyance that there was only a shelf/bedside table on one side of the bed and you only get enough coffee sachets for one morning, regardless of how long you're staying for. No mention of the bike hire in the hotel.
